ALBUQUERQUE - Have a project idea related to supporting sustainable agriculture, but need financial help with the project?

Western Sustainable Agriculture Research Education provides competitive grants for farmers and researchers that can help to fund their ambitions.

A workshop about writing proposals for WSARE grants will be held from 9 a.m. to noon Wednesday, Dec. 11, at New Mexico State University?s Cooperative Extension Service offices in Bernalillo County, 1510 Menaul Blvd. NW, Albuquerque.

"Jim Freeburn, WSARE professional development regional training coordinator, will present the workshop," said Stephanie Walker, WSARE New Mexico program co-coordinator and NMSU Extension vegetable specialist. "Learn how to successfully submit and receive grant proposals to fund innovation and research on your farm or institution."
