NMSU selected as a military-friendly university
Military Advanced Education and G.I. Jobs have listed New Mexico State University as a top military-friendly school for 2014.
This is the fifth consecutive year NMSU has been listed in the top 15 percent of schools in the country that support military students, which was published in the September issue of G.I. Jobs. NMSU also was selected as a top-military friendly school for the fourth straight year in the December edition of Military Advanced Education.
"We're very proud of our accomplishments here at NMSU," said Jacobo Varela, director of Military and Veterans Programs. "The magazine awards indicate that we have worked hard to make veterans a priority here at NMSU.
"As we all know, there is always work to be done. I want to take this forward, yes we won these awards, but we are going to continue to try and achieve even more," he said.
