Barnes & Noble at NMSU will continue the popular Open Mic performances from 5 to 8 p.m. Fridays. To sign up to perform, contact bncafe@nmsu.edu.

UNIVERSITY ART GALLERY TO HOST EVENTS
Andrew Connors will speak about selecting works for the current exhibition "Post-Racial U.S.?" in the University Art Gallery at NMSU from 5-6 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 3. This mixed-media juried group show explores current artistic views of the status of racism as a reality and race as a topic of conversation in 21st century America. Connors is the curator of art at the Albuquerque Museum of Art and History. This presentation is free and open to the public.
The University Art Gallery will hold a reception in honor of Silvia Marinas, director of the Museum Conservation Program at NMSU, and her students, from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 4. The current exhibition, "Conserving Tradition: Caring for the NMSU Retablo Collection," highlights the careful work of the students who are learning conservation skills in this undergraduate program. Light refreshments will be served.
Student musician Tony Vain will perform at the University Art Gallery from 8-10 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 4. The public is welcome to view the art on display while listening to Vain's amplified guitar, snare drum and vocal arrangements of rock-and-roll classics.
The University Art Gallery at NMSU is located in D.W. Williams Hall, near the intersection of University and Solano Avenues. Free parking is available on campus after 5 p.m.

NMSU ATHLETICS PRESENTS FOOTBALL, BASKETBALL
NMSU Football will take on the University of Idaho at 1:30 p.m. on "Fan Appreciation Day," Saturday, Nov. 30.
NMSU Men's Basketball will face the University of New Mexico in the "White Out" game at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 4, at the Pan American Center.
NMSU Women's Basketball will face the University of Texas at El Paso at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 3, at the Pan American Center.
