BARNES AND NOBLE OPEN MIC NIGHTS

Barnes & Noble at NMSU will continue the popular Open Mic performances from 5 to 8 p.m. Fridays. To sign up to perform, contact bncafe@nmsu.edu.

Open Mic is free of charge and open to the public. Free parking is available in designated spaces. Barnes & Noble at NMSU is located at 1400 E. University Ave. For more information, call 575-646-5822.

NMSU MUSIC DEPARTMENT TO HOST PERFORMANCES

At 2:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 2, Jing Ying Shu will perform a graduate vocal recital at Atkinson Recital Hall.

At 5 p.m. Monday, Nov. 4, the NMSU Piano Studio will perform a studio recital at Atkinson Recital Hall. Following this event, Alejandra Cortez will perform her senior tuba recital at 7:30 p.m.

At 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 5, the NMSU Horn Studio will perform a studio recital at Atkinson Recital Hall.

At 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 7, University Singers will present "A Greater Peace," under the direction of David Klement, at Atkinson Recital Hall.

At 7:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 8, Fred Bugbee and Mike Armendariz, instructors with NMSU's Percussion Studio, will perform a percussion faculty recital, at Atkinson Recital Hall.

All above events are free of charge and open to the public.

NMSU ATHLETICS PRESENTS SOCCER, VOLLEYBALL

NMSU Soccer will face California State University, Bakersfield at 1 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 3, at the NMSU Soccer Complex.

NMSU Volleyball will take on the University of Missouri-Kansas City at 7 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 7, at the Pan American Center.

Starting Friday, Nov. 8, NMSU will host the 2013 Western Athletic Conference Women's Soccer Tournament. At 12 p.m. Friday, Nov. 8, the No.1 seed will take on the No. 4 seed, and at 2:30 p.m. the No. 2 seed will face the No. 3 seed at the NMSU Soccer Complex.
