BARNES AND NOBLE OPEN MIC NIGHTS
Barnes & Noble at NMSU will continue the popular Open Mic performances from 5 to 8 p.m. Fridays. To sign up to perform, contact bncafe@nmsu.edu.

ATKINSON HALL TO HOST MUSICAL PERFORMANCES
Amanda Penaloza will present her senior vocal recital at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 5, and NMSU's Saxophone Studio will host a studio recital at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 10. Both events will take place at the Atkinson Recital Hall and are free and open to the public.
CENTER FOR LATIN AMERICAN AND BORDER STUDIES TO HOST TALK
New Mexico State University's Center for Latin American and Border Studies will host a presentation exploring the rhetoric and writing of Spanish-English multilingual students and professionals along the U.S.-Mexico Borders, at 4 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 9, at the Nason House, 1070 University Ave.
The discussion will be lead by Barry Thatcher, a professor of rhetoric and professional communication at NMSU specializing in Spanish-English writing, U.S.-Mexico border rhetoric and intercultural U.S.-Latin American professional communication.

AGGIE ATHLETICS PRESENTS SOCCER, VOLLEYBALL
NMSU Soccer will face Grand Canyon University at 1 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 6, at the NMSU Soccer Complex.
NMSU Volleyball will play against University of Idaho at noon Saturday, Oct. 5, and Seattle University at noon Sunday, Oct. 6. Both events will take place at the Pan American Center.
