12 DAYS OF HOLIDAY MUSIC AT BARNES AND NOBLE

The Barnes & Noble at NMSU Bookstore & Cafe will host the "12 Days of Holiday Music Countdown" Dec. 12 through 23. Enjoy 30 to 60 minutes of holiday and original music each day for 12 days from a dozen different performers, beginning with Plastic Apples at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 12. Barnes & Noble at NMSU also will continue the popular Open Mic performances from 5 to 8 p.m. Fridays throughout the "12 Days of Holiday Music Countdown" and winter break. To sign up to perform, contact bncafe@nmsu.edu.

MESILLA VALLEY CONCERT BAND COMES TO ATKINSON RECITAL HALL

Mesilla Valley Concert Band will perform Sunday, Dec. 16 at 3 p.m. in the Atkinson Recital Hall. Admission is free to the public. The program will include the performances of: Rolling Thunder March by Henry Fillmore, Lincolnshire Posey by Percy Grainger, Music for Duex Flutes by Doppler, Russian Christmas Music by Alfred Reed, Sleigh Ride by Leroy Anderson, National Emblem March by Vermont E.E. Bagley, and soloist performances by Nathaniel and Alex Burman.

MONDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL CONCLUDES

The 3rd Floor Bistro at the Danny Villanueva Victory Club will host the final free Monday Night Football buffet of the NFL season on Dec. 17. The buffet opens to the public at 5 p.m. with the New York Jets taking on the Tennessee Titans at 6:30 p.m. In addition to the buffet, menu items will be available for purchase.

THE NUTCRACKER COMES TO NMSU

The Las Cruces Chamber Ballet presents four performances of the holiday classic, "The Nutcracker," at 7 p.m. Dec. 20 through 22 and at 2 p.m. Dec. 23 in the Atkinson Recital Hall. AGGIE ATHLETICS PRESENTS BASKETBALL

Women's Basketball will face the University of New Mexico at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 18, at the Pan American Center. Admission is free for children or for adults with the purchase of a ticket to the Men's Basketball UNM game.

Women's Basketball will face the University of Missouri-Kansas City at 6:30 p.m. Friday, Dec. 21, at the Pan American Center.

Women's Basketball will face the University of Texas-Arlington at 6:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 29, at the Pan American Center. Admission is free for children.

Women's Basketball will face Louisiana Tech at 6:30 p.m. Monday, Dec. 31, at the Pan American Center. Admission is free for children.

Men's Basketball will face the University of Texas-San Antonio at 7 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 3, at the Pan American Center. Xtreme All-Stars will perform at half time.

Men's Basketball will face Texas State University at 7 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 5, at the Pan American Center. It is the third-annual mascot half-time basketball game with a post-game autograph session. Admission is free for children.

Women's Basketball will face Seattle University at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 10, at the Pan American Center. Admission is free for children.

Women's Basketball will face Idaho University at 6:30 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 12, at the Pan American Center.

Men's Basketball will face Utah State University at 7 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 17, at the Pan American Center. Quick Change, the art of changing costumes at lightning speeds, will be performed at half time.
