New Mexico State University’s online master’s program in public health has been ranked as one of the top 10 online programs in the United States by Masters in Public Health Degrees, an online-based resource for information about the top public health schools in the U.S.

NMSU’s Master of Public Health in Health Management, Administration and Policy, an online-based master’s program offered through the Department of Public Health Sciences in the College of Health and Social Services, ranked No. 4 on the list.

“NMSU proudly offers (its) MPH program in an online format to accommodate the busy schedule of a working professional,” the website wrote. “The MPH faculty at NMSU are proud to offer excellent and innovative education to their students. Students enrolled in the (NMSU) MPH program can engage in core competencies and develop a strong foundation for the health field or pursue further studies.”

The website also noted that graduates of the NMSU HMAP program have the opportunity to develop into successful leaders and health professionals. The program is fully accredited by the Council on Education for Public Health, a nationally recognized accrediting body for schools of public health and public health programs. NMSU’s other public health programs, including its bachelor program and graduate public health certificate, also are accredited by CEPH.

Masters in Public Health Degrees based its rankings on relevance to degree of interest, CEPH accreditation, online format and tuition cost, according to its website.
